      Health Service Equipment Supply
Hospitalmart managing director Howard Plews has twenty five years experience of equipment supply in the health service sector. This experience includes involvement with:-

      • Intensive care and critical care equipment and disposables.
      • Renal care / haemodialysis / plasmapherisis / CAPD /capital and disposables.
      • Cross infection control.
      • Rehabilitation / wheelchairs and related equipment.

In sales and marketing functions Howard has supplied numerous departments of the NHS and has exported medical equipment to health service providers around the world.

      Surplus Health Service Equipment
      Says Howard
“It is common knowledge that there are serious financial problems in health service provision world wide. Through my activities over a long period within the health care sector I am aware that there is a vast aggregate stock of surplus equipment amounting to many millions of pounds. I see two major implications of this.

Firstly, the resources tied up in unused equipment would be far better employed elsewhere in the health service. This is not just the original cost of the equipment but also all of the costs still being incurred in storing, securing, insuring and accounting for it.

Secondly, health services could be improved considerably both in the UK and especially overseas if unused equipment could be accessed and put to use.”

      Liquidation of Surplus Hospital Equipment
Hospitalmart has been established to facilitate the liquidation of surplus equipment and to extend its useful life to improve service provision worldwide.

      Recondition / Recycling Hospital Equipment
By reconditioning or recycling your surplus hospital equipment you will generate additional income. Organisations in developing countries have the funds and are prepared to pay for your unwanted, surplus medical equipment. Extending the life of hospital equipment, like any other form of reconditioning or recycling, makes a contribution to the worldwide environmental initiative – in addition to improving health and saving lives in the recipient country.

And finally…… This extract from the Sunday Times, March 23, 2008.

Hospitalmart exists to help resolve problems such as this. Developing countries clearly cannot afford £30,000 medical drills, but could afford pre-owned, ex-NHS equipment which is now surplus to requirements.
